I turned 32. These 32 watercolors on "love" are a promised birthday gift to myself. Since I was 28, almost every year around this time I bid farewell to my former self and set off again. Moving forward in life is never as simple as aging in appearance — it is the fearless forging ahead, earned through countless nights of tearful anguish, that frees you from ever needing to look back. May you and I have loved with all our might, and still be willing to spend a lifetime courageously learning to love ourselves and others better.
